Q:
What is the difference between the Game Roster and Team Roster links on my Team
Home Page?
Q:
I am trying to place TE Tony Gonzalez in my WR slot but your software won't let
me. Why not?
Q:
Why does it say "BYE" next to one of my players on my Team Home page?
Q:
I need a replacement QB for Sunday. It is Saturday and I am trying to pick up a free agent and
drop a backup kicker. However, your site is telling me that this transaction will not occur until the
next week. Why is this if the QB has not played yet this week?
Q: When
do player's slots lock each week?
A:
Players will be locked into the slot where
they are placed at the start of the first game of the week or the start of their
game, depending on your league's configuration. If your league configuration is
set to lock all players at the start of the first game of the week, we will lock
all players when we receive the first game file for the week. If not, we will
lock each player as we receive the first game file for their game. We do not
lock at a certain time like most sites do so you have a few extra minutes to
make decisions on your players who are "game-time decisions". Keep in mind,
there is a little lag time between the actual kickoff and the time we receive
the file from our stat provider (usually less than 15 seconds).
Q: What
does "Tie" mean in my list of available positions?
A:
One of our tie-breaker options is a designated player on a
team's bench whose points are used against an opponent's designated tie-breaker
player to determine the victor. This is only used during the season if your
Commissioner has configured the league not to use ties. It is one of the
mandatory tie-breaker options in the playoffs, so you may begin receiving
notifications about the slot being empty when your playoffs begin. See your
League Settings to see at which level this tie-breaker option is configured.
Q:
What is the difference between the Game Roster and Team
Roster links on my Team Home Page?
A:
You will only see these links when your league is using
In-game changes. Since you can start different players in different periods
(In-game changes allow for changes by Quarter or changes by Half), we created a
different page to establish the starting line-up for your team. So, the "Team
Roster" is used to list the players on your roster, their stats and all the team
functionality; trading, different views of stats (by week, by month, by year...)
as well as team details. The "Game Roster" will display all starting positions
and the slots for each position (2 slots per starting position for changes By
Half and 4 slots per starting position for changes By Quarter), as well as the
Tie-breaker and Injured Reserve positions, if used.
Q: I am
trying to place TE Tony Gonzalez in my WR slot but your software won't let me.
Why not?
A:
Players are designated as playing certain positions, such
as TE. Your league configuration is set up with fixed positions, such as QB,
RB, WR, TE.... Players can only fit into multiple slots if they are reported as
playing multiple positions, which rarely happens in the NFL, or your league is
configured with "swing" positions, such as, WR/TE, RB/WR, XP or OP.
Q:
Why does it say "BYE" next to one of my players on my Team Home page?
A:
That means that the NFL team that your player belongs to
does not have a game that week and we advise you place him on your bench. If
your league was configured with our Bye Week Rollover option, you will have a
checkbox next to that player on the week prior to his Bye Week. You must have
this option checked to get his points to carry over to the following week.
Q:
I need a replacement QB for Sunday. It is Saturday and I am trying to pick up a free agent and
drop a backup kicker. However, your site is telling me that this transaction will not occur until the
next week. Why is this if the QB has not played yet this week?
A:
In your case, it is not a problem with the QB. The problem is with the Drop player; the kicker. The kicker's team
played on Thursday night so he is locked into your roster for the current week, even if you didn't start him. Every roster has a maximum
size per week and adding the QB would put you over the roster maximum. Your options to get the QB for the current week are to select a
different player to drop whose game has not started for the current week or place a player (if allowed) into an IR slot, thus freeing up a
roster position.
